Ever since our last President, George W. Bush, thought there were weapons of mass destruction over seas, we have been in this pointless war. The United States soldiers have been fighting, and dying, for their country because they feel they have to. They are over sears risking their lives for every American citizen, but why? There is no point. We went over seas and found nothing; that was years ago.

Rwanda is just one of the countries that has a lot of genocide. Genocide is systematic killing of a racial or cultural group. The Tutsis and Hutus people are the ones that are in a war, in their country.

We have always dealt with probelms over-seas. Whether its helping them restore order, or taking care of a horrible leader. I thnk that we need to take care of issues at home before dealing with them over-seas. In the War in Iraq, I think that we did what we needed to do. We got Hussein and tried to restore a government. The people there don't want us there. Moreover, there are problems in the USA, suchas the economy, that we need to worry about.

The youth of the United State's ignorance about America's foreign policies and the countries that the nation is involved is alarming. This generation will be the next to determine foreign policy and it is difficult to see how they will manage when they are so oblivious to the events in the global world today.

With Iran edging dangerously close to acquiring nuclear weapons and Israel insisting that they will unleash preemptive air strikes to protect themselves the world is watching to see how we will deal with this threat, whether we respond with nuclear force, force a regime change, or enact an entirely diplomatic solution.

Afghanistan is, and always has been, the graveyard of empires: from the English to the Soviets to, soon enough, the U.S. Although the U.S. is part of a 43 country coalition to combat terror in this part of the world, we have by far the most number of ground troops – approximately 100,000 by summer 2010, plus thousands more in mercenaries from private contractors such as Blackwater. Instead of taking a more isolationist foreign policy approach, the U.S. has meddled in Afghanistan’s affairs to the point where the unpopular, Bush-installed Karzai government is entirely dependent on us, and the people, illiterate as they are, are calling on us and the rest of the world to leave.

Won't foreign aid to africa hurt them and us more then help them because most of the aid we give them goes to their government and potenially affects their way of life because many people may rely on the foreign aid instead of providing for themselves?

The war in Uganda has been going on for over 23 years. Children are being kidnapped away from their families to fight in this violent war. According to the Invisible Children one every three boys is abducted to the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) and one in every six girls as well. This war has taken 60,000 innocent lives over the past 23 years. Although it is another continent away, how can we justify sitting around while this injustice is going on? We must take action to save the lives of these children and their families. Can you imagine your child or child brother or sister carrying a machine gun? I would hope not. It's not right that these children are forced to fight in this war.
